♥ She was born into a salt-mining family who moved to the Fringes during Garlean occupation.♥ Since she is a polyglot, speak in a different language around her and she'll likely listen in- if not outright join your conversation. She will always called herself only a rogue if pressed- not that she actually talks about it with anyone not in the know. You may recognise her from her years of service to the Dutiful Sisters of Edelweiss if you aren't.♥ Having made her way to Limsa at only twelve summers old, this orphaned refugee was taken in by the charitable organisation previously mentioned.♥ Yes, her entire family except one cousin are dead. (spoilers ahead)♥ Has suffered severe abuse from birth - 12 summers old due to the nature of Garlean Occupation. She witnessed things as a child she never should have and experienced the effects of imperialism. I am sure you can imagine it being almost every type of abuse under the sun, and you'd be correct.♥ Due to the nature of living in Ala-Mhigo in formative development stages and seeing her family die as they left, Hilly has CPTSD and Reactive Attachment Disorder. This is a clue as to how she will react to genuine affection and attempts at knowing her. Hint - Not reasonably.♥ Brunhilda doesn't particularly have a stable sense of self. Well, she does- but only that she doesn't particularly have a favourite anything. She truly is listlessly going through life, only indulging in things that give her good feelings temporarily.♥ She struggles intensely in her relationships- and her best friend, Kai, is the one she has left. You will hear him speak to her like absolute shit- but it's because if she doesn't believe he's upset with her? She isn't listening to any advice or a word he says.♥ She does have emotions and she does feel incredibly deeply, she doesn't recognise them for what they are and wishes not to feel them.♥ Can be *horrendously cruel.
